Aviation Fuel Testing Service
Aviation fuel is a specialized type of petroleum-based fuel used
to power aircraft. It often contains additives to reduce the risk of icing or
explosion due to high temperatures, among other properties. Jet A-1 is the
standard specification fuel used in most of the world.
Jet A-1 fuel must meet the specification for DEF STAN 91-91
(Jet A-1), ASTM specification D1655 (Jet A-1).
What is AFQRJOS?
Aviation Fuel Quality Requirements for Jointly Operated It
defines the fuel quality requirement for supply into Jointly Operated Fuelling
Systems. The aviation fuel quality requirements for jointly operated
systems(AFQRJOS) for Jet A11 embodies the most stringent requirement of the
following 2 specifications.
• British Ministry of Defence Stan 91-91/issue6 Amendment
1 of 25 Aug 2008 for turbine fuel kerosene. Type Jet A1,NATO
CodeF-35, Joint Service Designation AVTUR
• ASTM std specification D 1655-089 for aviation Turbine
Fuels.
Jet fuel that meets the AFQRJOS is usually referred to as
"Jet A-1 to Check List", or "Check List Jet A-1".
